I paint nails at
my kitchen table.
I'm Kimmy. This whole thing is me, a desk lamp, an absurd number of tiny brushes, and a drawer of nail tips organised by shape. Everything you order here passed through my hands — literally all of it.

The first, very bad set
Bought a starter kit online during a slow winter, painted a set for myself, and wore it out anyway. Someone complimented it. That was that.

Friends start asking
Turned the dining table into a desk. Made sets for birthdays, then for their coworkers, then for people I'd never met.

Kimmy Cookz becomes a thing
Named it after the nickname my brother gave me. Started photographing every set before it shipped. Sold out the first drop in a weekend.
- Now
1,400+ sets later
Still one person, still one lamp. Custom work is about half of what I make and easily the most fun part.
Three rules I don't break
Made by a person
No factory, no press moulds, no batch of a thousand identical sets. If a nail is slightly its own thing, that's because a human painted it.
Built to be reused
Press-ons get a bad reputation because most are made to be thrown away. These are shaped and sealed to come off clean and go back on.
Honest about fit
A gorgeous set that doesn't fit is a waste of both our time. That's why the sizing kit costs $8 and I refund it on your first order.
Come say hi
I answer every message myself, usually within a day. Questions about fit, colour, timing, anything.
